The November Elections are on November 3, 2026
Know where to vote: Check your voter record at vote.ri.gov. This is the information you’ll see:
- Your name and address
- Your political affiliation
- Your polling location
- Your sample ballot
- Your district information
You can change addresses and political affiliation, but this will not appear on the Poll Pad at the precinct because we’re within 30 days of the election. You can request a mail ballot up to 4 p.m. the day before early voting begins.
Early Voting – October 14 – November 3, 2026
Early voting begins at Portsmouth Town Hall on October 14, 2026 during Town Hall hours in the Council chambers.
Approximately half of Portsmouth’s voters vote early.
Voting hours follow Town Hall business hours:
Monday – Wednesday, 8:30AM to 4:30PM
Thursday, 8:30AM to 6:30PM
Friday, 8:30AM to 2:30PM
The final day of early voting ends at 4:00 PM not 4:30 PM!!!

The polling locations for Portsmouth are:
- 2701 – Farnum Farm – Prudence Island
- 2702 – Common Fence Point Community Center
- 2703 – Portsmouth High School Field House
- 2704 – Portsmouth Friends Church
- 2705 – Portsmouth Town Hall
- 2706 – St. Barnabas Church
- 2707- Portsmouth Middle School gym
